The Doctor and the Patient
Praise God that in His Omniscience, He has prepared Renzo in such a time like this when though he cannot communicate most of the time using his voice ( because he still has the trache - still on the process of corking and has to wait for his pulmo doctor's go signal if it will already be removed ), he can communicate through sign language to those around him ( Renzo is a Sun. School Teacher and Interpreter for the Deaf ). With God's help, he was able to extend his sign language ministry in the hospital by teaching all of us ( family, nurses, therapists and some of his doctors ) sign language so taking care of him and understanding his needs have been much easier. In these photos, he's communicating to Dr. Roy Allan Torcuator, his chief attending physician who's been attending to him since he arrived from Vn. July 8,2011 until now ( did all the surgeries to Renzo from JRMMC to St. Luke's Med. Center as a love gift to his fellow pastor's kid ). He's a great blessing and an answered prayer. The love, care, concern, favor and help he has extended to Dan Renzo and our family are beyond words. To God be the glory!
Ptr. Gerry Nable and his Wife with brother JD
What a joy and blessing for Dan Renzo to be visited by Pastor Gerry Nable, Ma'am Wen Nable and brd Jedy Caray one Saturday evening when he was trying to find our mission field in the small globe he is holding in his hands.

Sweet Reunion
Dan Renzo's tumor's location affects
his body's balance and coordination ( this includes hands and feet
activities ). Though he already underwent two craniectomy and 32
radiotherapy treatments, regaining his balance.and coordination will take
some time with the help of physical and occupational therapy. He has to
start learning how to sit down, stand up, walk, hold things w/control,
write, feed & dress himself & all those stuff ( that we normally
do everyday ) again.
It's only by God's grace and enabling power that he was able to strike some notes again during this musical fellowship time with Jazer Flores, a fellow pastor's son from Gen. Santos City who came over to visit him 2 weeks ago. It was Jazer who taught Renzo to play the piano when he was 12. What a sweet reunion for two pastors' sons who both love to play music for God's glory!

Sweet few Words
I can’t help but declare God’s faithfulness as daily
miracles in the life of my son unfold before our very eyes.
For almost two months, Renzo communicates through sign
language (which he willingly taught 2 nurses and therapists taking care of
him). A language he only used before as deaf Sunday school teacher and
interpreter. But for 2 days now, we heard his voice again as corking began
(trache temporarily covered for 30 minutes or more).
“Thank you Lord, OK na ako” were the sweetest words we
heard from him today.

BLESSINGS ARE POURING IN
"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
ROMANS 8:32
Everyday, Renzo's condition is getting better... he is responding well
to his Radiotherapy, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. We
rejoiced when he was able to speak his first words after two
months.."mama"...from that he was able to say more words the day
after. This was during his corking, when he was being trained to breath
through his nose, swallow food and speak.
Renzo is recovering fast and so is his hospital bills piling high.
But God is God. He is always touching someone to provide for his daily medical needs.
Last night, Pastor Dator txted Msnry. Garcinez. The Gabay BBC of
Dolores, Quezon had special offering for Renzo's needs. He said it may be
a small amount but it is their desire to be a part of his journey. And
today, they are holding a "GARAGE SALE FOR RENZO". The church gathered
things to be sold at their event to be able to help in Renzo's needs.
They are asking for prayers that all the items be sold.
God is truly amazing!
Another blessing:
The CBBC Cabuyao, Laguna have an ongoing "GOOD NEWS PAINTINGS FOR
RENZO". This is their way of raising funds to help in Renzo's needs. Let
us pray that they will be able to paint for God's glory, for God's
purpose. It is not only encouraging but also truly overwhelming how God
works, in His own way.
We praise you dear God!
More blessing:
Two ladies, one from Maltana the other one from Polomolok, (both from
South Cotabato)who truly love Renzo is launching "A BAG FOR RENZO". They
are joining forces to sell Canvas Bags with prints "Rise for Renz".
This is their way of helping in Renzo's needs. they may not be able to
see him or take care of him personally, but in their own way, they are
showing their love to beloved Renzo.
God bless you both, Tita
Sienna Dacumos & Tita Rowena Villano. Let's all help pray that they
will be able to sell as many bags as possible. We will soon be featuring
pictures of the bags so any one who wants to help can buy also.
Thank you, Lord...thank you for all the blessings...for all the people
who cares...for all the people you are using...God bless each one of us.
May God return to you a hundred fold the love and blessings you shared with Renzo.
The PKs (Pastors' Kids) in Action
"I may not have riches that others may
but I have a mother who knows how to pray
and maybe there are somethings i missed in my youth
but I have a father who stands for the truth
I have a goodly heritage
I'm blessed with things you can't see..."
... Renzo is all of the above, and so are his fellow Pastors'
Kids...and in this trying time of their brother in Christ, they are
reaching out, kneeling, comforting, singing for their brother...trying
in their own capacity to make their brother in Christ know that they are
with him in his battle with tumor...in his journey to recovery...as God
breaths a new life for him...
God bless these Pastors' Kids
from Luzon who staged a Benefit Night for Renzo. It's a night of music
and thanksgiving as more than 50 Pastors' kids sung for the Lord. Sis.
Jennifer Escrupolo-Escultura spareheaded the event. She's a regular
visitor, along with her husband and kid. They are a source of happiness
for Renzo.
Pastors' Kids from Southern Mindanao is launching
today the" Adopt a Glass for Renzo" and Rise for Renz: T-shirt for a
Cause". These projects have been taught out of the mutual love of fellow
Pastors' kids Jazzer Flores (BBC Upper Tambler), Caleb Mangadlaw (BBC
Digos City) and other PKs in the area.
It is a blessing to have
a goodly heritage...it is a blessing to be a Pastor's kid. And it is
equally a blessing to be able to extend a helping hand to someone in
need.
Be a blessing to Renzo... help the PKs from Southern Mindanao... buy a shirt today!

HOW IT ALL BEGAN?
Rise for Renz ... how it all began
The title Rise for Renz was an original idea of Pastor Edwin Tan for the Benefit Night to be staged by Pastors' Kids from Luzon area for their fellow Pastor's kid and young missionary to a Restricted Access Nation in Southeast Asia Dan Renzo Ynguine V. Garcinez whose battling with brain tumor at such a tender age of 16. The Benefit Night was supposed to be a Thanksgiving for the successful surgeries (2 head surgeries and 2 for shunting) of Renzo. However, when Renzo went into coma just three days after his 17th birthday and a week after his 2nd head surgery, they instead staged a fund raising & faith raising dubbed "Rise for Renz" benefit night.
the love and compassion these PAstors' kids showed to their fellow pastor's kids whom they don't personallyknow and haven't even seen yet have touched and blessed not only Renzo and his family but many who have heard of it. Some Pastors have been inspired and so are many Pastors' kids and young people.
the blogspot and page for Renzo were born,(www.riseforrenz.blogspot.com and rise for Renz page). It contains everything that Renzo went and is still going through..his struggles...his pains...and his daily miracles. It aims to share to people how God has been touching Renzo's life, how God has been touching other people's lives through what Renzo has been going through and how God is there all along.
and now, it is truly a blessing to know how Rise for Renz has inspired some more. The Pastors' kids from Southern Mindanao will be launching tomorrow during their Youth fellowship the "Adopt a Glass for Renzo". Each Pastor's kid will adopt a glass used by Renzo in the hospital (St. Luke's) and they will fill it up and give to renzo to help in his radiotherapy and other medical needs as his way to recovery is still a long journey.
These PKs from Mindanao have another brainchild to help Renzo in his hospital bills, the rise for Renz t-shirts dubbed " T-shirt for a Casue". they plan to sell 5000 pieces of shirt to come up with 1M pesos. Renzo's family will be collaborating with these PKs to help them achieve their goal for their brother in Christ, the baby in their group but someone they're looking up through in his faithfulness to Christ.
Dan renzo Ynguine V. Garcinez, a Pastor's Kid, a young missionary, a music director, a violin, guitar&keyboard teacher, an Assistant Preacher is only 17 years old.He was 16 when first diagnosed to have a brain tumor. He underwent 2 head surgeries to remove the tumor and 3 surgeries for shunting.the last one, a permanent shunt while he was in coma as a last resort to revive him.He was announced clinically impossible to survive or even wake up.But God showed that He is a living God.Dan Renzo is not only fully awake, he is recovering well. It's still along journey, his doctor said, but definitely he will go back to his normal life.We believe, an even better life, because it is for the Lord, as He wills it.
The Garcinez family have long ago surrendered their lives for the Lord. It is the Lord who has been financing Renzo's medication for the past four months, through many people, from all ages and all walks of life. Be one of them today!
